About the role
Lead the hotel’s daily operations and provide a welcoming, reliable experience for every guest. Responsibilities include coordinating reception, housekeeping, reservations and guest services; supporting and scheduling team members; responding to guest enquiries and complaints; monitoring occupancy, service standards and operating costs; working with suppliers and maintenance teams; maintaining accurate reports; and ensuring that health and safety, fire safety, food hygiene, licensing and data-protection procedures are followed.
Requirements
Some practical experience in hotels, accommodation, restaurants, catering or another hospitality environment is sufficient. Formal hotel-management experience is not essential where the applicant can demonstrate customer service, reliability, communication, organisation and the ability to support a team. Applicants must be flexible about shift patterns and complete right-to-work and reference checks. Hospitality, food-safety, first-aid, licensing or management certificates are an advantage but are not required.
Working hours
40–48 hours per week. The role may include evenings, weekends and bank holidays according to the hotel rota.
Sponsorship information
Certificate of Sponsorship may be considered only where the employer is a licensed sponsor and the applicant qualifies under the immigration rules in force. Under current rules, SOC 1221 is generally restricted to eligible applicants who have held continuous Skilled Worker permission since before 22 July 2025, unless another permitted immigration option applies. The role must also meet the applicable salary and going-rate requirements. Sponsorship is assessed separately and is not guaranteed.
